Bev Bevan, Destella en la ELO

En el siguiente reportaje, compartiremos con todos los fans, la tan recordada, buscada y famosa entrevista a Bev Bevan aparecida en 1982 en el número 106, de la conocida revista musical Popular 1.

La entrevista fue realizada a Bevan por el corresponsal de la revista en Londres Chris Welch. Chris Welch fue un famoso y reputado periodista, escritor y crítico musical, que trabajó para, entre otras, las míticas revistas musicales inglesas Melody Maker y Kerrang!

En esta entrevista podremos descubrir entre otras cosas, como acabó sus días el mítico OVNI usado por la ELO en directo en el Out Of The Blue Tour del 78; o cuantas canciones fueron grabadas para el LP TIME, o que en esos días, Bevan había terminado la construcción de una casa en España, que a día de hoy sabemos que fue en Menorca.

A continuación, otro reportaje de la ELO aparecido unos pocos números antes de la revista anterior, en el Popular 1, numero 101, de noviembre del 81.

Esta vez el artículo, al ser escrito por un periodista español de la época, vuelve a ser el típico reportaje/articulo crítico e irrespetuoso hacia la ELO. Con los comentarios habituales punzantes y despectivos hacia la ELO.

Y para terminar, aparecido en ese mismo numero 101 anterior del Popular 1, la critica del LP TIME, en la que, como no podía ser de otra manera al ser redactada por un «crítico» español, el LP es defenestrado y descalificado al más puro estilo «crí-ti-co-mu-si-cal-es-pa-ñol-an-ti-ELO«.

In the following report, we will share with all fans the much-remembered, sought-after, and famous interview with Bev Bevan that appeared in 1982 in issue 106 of the well-known music magazine Popular 1.
The interview was conducted by the magazine's London correspondent, Chris Welch. Chris Welch was a famous and respected journalist, writer, and music critic who worked for, among others, the legendary English music magazines 
Melody Maker and Kerrang!
In this interview, we will discover, among other things, how the mythical UFO used by ELO in the Out Of The Blue Tour of '78 ended its days; or how many songs were recorded for the album TIME, or that during those days, Bevan had finished building a house in Spain, which we now know was in Menorca.
Next, another report on ELO appeared a few issues before the previous magazine, in Popular 1, issue 101, from November '81.
This time, the article, being written by a Spanish journalist of the time, is once again the typical critical and disrespectful report/article towards ELO. With the usual sharp and derogatory comments about ELO.
And to finish, in that same previous issue 101 of Popular 1, the review of the album TIME is featured, in which, as expected when written by a Spanish "critic," the LP is disparaged and disqualified in the purest style of "Spanish music critic anti-ELO."
