ELOSPAIN:
…and ELO SPAIN fulfilled its promise with Amalio…
…and delivered the "unpublished", "authentic" and "valuable" book "WEMBLEY OR BUST HARDCOVER" AUTOGRAPHED BY JEFF LYNNE to whom it was promised on March 4th. For his dedication over the years to ELO/JEFF fans, his sincere friendship, contribution and unconditional support to our website ELOSP.com over the years.
AMALIO UTRILLA DURÁN received last Saturday, April 7, 2022 from our hands and under the watchful eye of the "Cervantine giants", one of the gifts that came from TEAM JEFF to ELO SPAIN in February of this year. And it was under the incomparable Castellano-Manchego frame of the locality of Consuegra, with the Monument of its Windmills, universal thanks to the "Quijote" of Cervantes, being these witnesses of our encounter.
We were looking for a "unique" place in Spain where we could leave a record of this meeting, as well as of the delivery of the UNUSUAL AND VALUABLE GIFT, and we found it in our own land, without the need to go further, because there is no other place as Spanish as this Cervantes and Quixotic landscape, and as international as incomparable.
Strolling and contemplating the plains of La Mancha from the "Cerro Calderico" we had an intimate conversation with the theme ELO/JEFF as the main element of dialogue (it could not be otherwise). We remembered our first contact through the internet thanks to this same web ELOSP.com twenty years ago and then we continued with my delivery of the GIFT FROM JEFF which rewarded his work for the years dedicated to the ELO fans, always without profit, wherever he was linked during years ago and of which, I can boast that I was his companion during some of them. Undoubtedly he is worthy of this AWARD and I am proud to have been the one to recognize his work in this way.
My most sincere and infinite thanks to JEFF LYNNE and TEAM JEFF. Without their INCREDIBLE AND WONDERFUL SURPRISE this "miracle" that once again illuminates our lives would never have been possible. Thanks to JAIME ORTUÑO for his inestimable generosity and willingness to help others. That says a lot about him. And of course to AMALIO UTRILLA DURÁN for continuing to be another "Apostle" of the good news that we have been spreading for so many years from ELOSP.com.
"The best is yet to come…"

That same day, before leaving, we could not avoid returning to the same place, watching the sunset and contemplating the drawing of the Windmills as the sun was setting over La Mancha.
"In this, they discovered thirty or forty windmills that are in that field; and, just as Don Quixote saw them, he said to his squire:
-The adventure is guiding our things better than we could have wished, for you see there, friend Sancho Panza, where thirty, or a few more, unbridled giants are discovered, with whom I intend to do battle and take all their lives, with the spoils of which we shall begin to enrich ourselves; for this is good warfare, and it is a great service to God to remove so bad a seed from the face of the earth.
-What giants? -said Sancho Panza.
-Those you see there," replied his master, "with long arms, which some of them are nearly two leagues long.
-You see," replied Sancho, "that those that look like giants there are not giants, but windmills, and what look like arms on them are the blades, which, turned by the wind, make the millstone go.
-It seems well," replied Don Quixote, "that you are not versed in adventures; they are giants; and if you are afraid, get away from there, and pray in the space where I am going to enter into a fierce and unequal battle with them.
So saying, he spurred on his horse Rocinante, without heeding the voices that his squire Sancho gave him, warning him that, without any doubt, they were windmills, and not giants, those that he was going to attack. But he was so sure that they were giants, that he neither heard the voices of his squire Sancho, nor could he see what they were, though he was very near at hand; but he went on saying in loud voices:
-Non fuyades, cowardly and vile creatures, that a single knight is the one who attacks you."
