A falta de una firma…

¿Qué valor tendría esta fotografía en caso de poseerla un fan de ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA y JEFF LYNNE cuando, aunque no es de ELO sino de THE MOVE, viene firmada por ROY WOOD, Rick Price y BEV BEVAN, pero no lleva la firma de JEFF LYNNE?

Indudablemente los fans de Roy, Rick y Bev estarían encantados de tener esta imagen original en sus manos, pero no pensarían lo mismo los de JEFF LYNNE que verían en ella un «defecto importante» y difícil de subsanar.

Curioso es que hayan firmado tres de los cuatro componentes de THE MOVE esta fotografía y que falte un autógrafo, lo que atribuimos a que no hayan sido realizadas dichas firmas a la vez y que JEFF LYNNE, precisamente por su facilidad en estar, digamos «fuera de escena», no haya sido posible encontrar el momento para que la rubrique y quede completa.

Lo cierto es que, concretamente para mi, esta fotografía carece de lo más importante y le resta mucho al quedar huérfana de lo que más puedo valorar… Ni las tres firmas juntas que ya contiene llegan a sumar el valor suficiente de la única que le falta. Por supuesto esta es una opinión personal y respeto la de cada cual.

Undoubtedly, fans of Roy, Rick, and Bev would be thrilled to have this original photo in their hands. However, JEFF LYNNE fans would likely see it as having a “major flaw” that’s difficult to overlook.
It’s curious that three of the four members of THE MOVE have signed this photograph, yet one signature is missing. This is probably because the autographs were not collected at the same time, and JEFF LYNNE—perhaps due to his tendency to be, let’s say, “off the radar”—was simply unavailable to sign it and complete the set.
The truth is that, at least for me, this photograph lacks the most important part and loses much of its value by being missing the one thing I cherish most. Even the three signatures it does have together don’t quite match the worth of the one that’s missing. Of course, this is just my personal opinion, and I fully respect everyone else’s.
