ELOcuencias / Las últimas lágrimas…

¡BRINDO! por aquellos que vais a disfrutar del último concierto, en un primer momento denominado «LIGHTS OUT» de JEFF LYNNE’S ELO en HYDE PARK de Londres mañana mismo. Por esos FANS que viajarán hacia su paraíso musical y derramarán la última de sus lágrimas frente a JEFF en su despedida final de los escenarios y, quien sabe si de la música definitivamente. Los que permanezcamos en casa estaremos con vosotros en espíritu y alma y también frente a JEFF escuchando canciones de ELO aunque desde casa y, al mismo tiempo, rememorando los buenos tiempos de esta banda con la que crecimos y sentimos tantas vivencias. Aún en la distancia estaremos cerca de forma virtual y en espíritu. Seremos extensiones de la luz de ELO una vez más y junto a quienes se encuentren allí, también derramaremos una lágrima de alegría por tanto recibido, tanto como por lo que perderemos ese mismo día a partes iguales. Nada nos hará olvidar que hubo un tiempo en el que la banda sonora de nuestras vidas la puso la ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA y con ella JEFF LYNNE y todos sus músicos de estudio y directo. GRACIAS POR TANTO y ojalá, de alguna forma halláis sido recompensados vosotros, los músicos, por vuestro esfuerzo y dedicación por nosotros los fans.

Hace pocos fines de semana tuve el placer de recibir en Caudete la visita de uno de los considerados GRANDES FANS DE JEFF LYNNE y ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA a su paso por mi pueblo cuando se dirigía hacia la costa con parte de su familia. Por suerte para mi no es la primera vez, ni tampoco será la última, puesto que nos quedan muchos asuntos pendientes, la conversación es más que amena y mi casa es la suya por tantas razones como amabilidad desprende él mismo y cada uno de sus acompañantes. Se podría decir que somos familiares lejanos por parte musical y afinidad mELOmana. Jovial, dicharachero y además serio cuando hay que serlo. porque hay asuntos que hay que tratar con respeto y la seriedad debida.

Él es PACO CARRASQUILLA, colaborador de ELOSPcom sin reparos ni cortapisas. Alguien que merecería por parte del mismo JEFF un autógrafo dedicado por su innata afición y respeto hacia su persona. Un fan seguidor de su trayectoria que posee en su casa, además de la extensa colección de ELO/JEFF un DISCO DE ORO situado en el mejor de los lugares de su vivienda e iluminado cual obra de arte que sin duda es.

Un FAN que ya se encuentra en Londres donde un JEFF LYNNE ofrecerá su «LIGHTS OUT» y que solamente deberá cruzar la calle desde la puerta del Hotel contratado con muchos meses de antelación para pisar el césped de HYDE PARK, donde JEFF ofrecerá su último concierto al mundo. Un FAN incondicional que estará frente a JEFF para despedirlo y desearle el mejor de los futuros.

Se podría decir que es nuestro emisario en Londres, al cual deseamos la suerte de encontrarse de frente a un JEFF receptivo, mientras cruza del umbral de su Hotel a su limusina y le dedica un autógrafo para él y otro (en su caso) para ELOSP.com al tiempo que se hace una foto que lo inmortalice para la posteridad. Así fuere… porque, merecido lo tiene.

A tantos como estaréis allí, SUERTE. Suerte y fuerza para no reprimir esa última lágrima en recuerdo de tantos momentos felices que nos dio JEFF LYNNE con su música. Despedirle como se merece, como un HÉROE, como un GENIO, como un MITO, como una LEYENDA. Lo sabréis hacer perfectamente y ÉL lo tiene bien merecido.

Those of us staying home will be with you in spirit and soul, and also with JEFF, listening to ELO songs from home, reliving the good times with this band that shaped our youth and filled our lives with unforgettable experiences. Even from afar, we will be close—virtually and in spirit. We will once again be extensions of the light of ELO, and along with those present, we will shed a tear of joy for all that we’ve received, and also for what we are about to lose. Nothing will make us forget that there was once a time when the soundtrack of our lives was provided by the ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA, with JEFF LYNNE and all his studio and live musicians. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
Just a few weekends ago, I had the pleasure of receiving in Caudete a visit from one of the recognized GREAT FANS OF JEFF LYNNE and the ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA, as he passed through my hometown on his way to the coast with part of his family. Luckily for me, it wasn’t the first time, nor will it be the last, as we have many things still pending; the conversation is more than enjoyable, and my home is his home for as many reasons as there are kindnesses in each of his companions. One could say that we are distant relatives in musical terms and mELOmaniac affinity. Cheerful, talkative, and serious when it matters—because some topics deserve respect and proper seriousness.
His name is PACO CARRASQUILLA, a contributor to ELOSP.com without hesitation or limits. Someone who truly deserves, from JEFF himself, a signed autograph in recognition of his genuine passion and respect for the man. A devoted fan of his career who not only owns an extensive ELO/JEFF collection but also displays a GOLD RECORD in the most prominent place in his home, illuminated as the work of art it undoubtedly is.
A FAN who is already counting down the days until he finds himself in London for JEFF LYNNE'S ELO at its "LIGHTS OUT", and who will only have to cross the street from the door of the hotel—booked months in advance—to step onto the grass of HYDE PARK, where JEFF will offer his final concert to the world. A dedicated FAN who will stand before JEFF to say goodbye and wish him the best possible future.
It could be said that he is our emissary in London, to whom we wish the best of luck in the hope that he may come face to face with a receptive **JEFF LYNNE** as he crosses the threshold from his hotel to his limousine, and that he might receive an autograph—one for him and one for **ELOSP.com**—while also capturing a photo that will immortalize the moment forever. May it be so… because he truly deserves it.
