The Running Man / El Fugitivo
«El Fugitivo» o «The Running Man» es una novela de ficción escrita por Stephen King en el año 1982 y ambientada en el año 2025, la obra retrata un Estados Unidos controlado por un gobierno totalitario y una sociedad dominada por la televisión y los concursos violentos.
Este mismo año se estrena una nueva versión de este film en el que se escucha, al menos en el trailer del mismo, el tema «DON’T BRING ME DOWN» de ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA.
Argumento:
El protagonista es Ben Richards, un obrero en paro cuya única oportunidad para salvar a su familia de la miseria es concursar en Perseguido, un reality show cuyos participantes deben huir de un equipo de asesinos durante un mes entero.
Si sobrevive, Richards recibirá 1.000 millones de dólares como premio, más que suficiente para pagar los tratamientos médicos que necesita su hija. ¿El problema? Que ninguno de los concursantes de Perseguido ha sobrevivido hasta ahora.
