The Fastest Guitar Alive es la curiosa banda sonora del músico estadounidense ROY ORBISON, publicada por la compañía discográfica MGM Records en julio de 1967. Un álbum que sirvió como banda sonora del largometraje con el mismo título y que supuso la única participación de ORBISON en el cine. El sencillo «There Won’t Be Many Coming Home» alcanzó el puesto dieciocho en la lista británica UK Singles Chart.

Sinopsis: ROY ORBISON interpreta su único papel en un largometraje como Johnny, un espía confederado que se ve envuelto en un complot para robar oro de la Unión al final de la guerra.

The album served as the soundtrack for the feature film of the same name and marked ORBISON's only appearance in a motion picture. Synopsis: ROY ORBISON plays his only role in a feature film as Johnny, a Confederate spy who becomes entangled in a plot to steal Union gold at the close of the war.
