Y como no podía ser de otra manera, aquí tenemos a MIKE DE ALBUQUERQUE en formato figura de acción, como lo hicimos con JEFF LYNNE, RICHARD TANDY y algunos otros. ELO ESPAÑA no quisiera olvidar a ninguno de los componentes de esta exquisita banda de esta tesitura. Este es otro componente de ELO emblemático por su personal forma de tocar el bajo y apoyar vocalmente a JEFF mientras estuvo en las filas y a sus órdenes desde 1972 a 1974, contribuyendo a álbumes como «ELO 2», «ON THE THIRD DAY» y en grabaciones en vivo como «THE NIGHT THE LIGHT WENT ON IN LONG BEACH», así como en partes del álbum «ELDORADO».
Contribuyó en temas tan conocidos como «ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN», «IN THE HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING», «SHOWDOWN» y «CAN’T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD», entre otros.
ALBUQUERQUE dejó ELO por razones personales durante las sesiones de grabación del cuarto álbum del grupo, «ELDORADO», siendo reemplazado por el extraordinario bajo de KELLY GROUCUTT. A pesar de su marcha, su trabajo en los primeros álbumes de ELO dejaron una huella imborrable en la banda.
Durante su tiempo en ELO, MIKE DE ALBUQUERQUE era conocido por tocar principalmente bajos Ampeg y amplificadores Fender Bassman. En cuanto a los instrumentos, se le ha visto con un Fender Jazz Bass sunburst y, en algunas ocasiones, un bajo Gibson. También tocaba el piano y una guitarra eléctrica Gibson SG blanca.

Another emblematic ELO member, known for his distinctive bass-playing style and vocal support for Jeff while serving under his direction from 1972 to 1974, he contributed to albums such as ELO 2, ON THE THIRD DAY, and live recordings like THE NIGHT THE LIGHT WENT ON IN LONG BEACH, as well as parts of ELDORADO.

Albuquerque left ELO for personal reasons during the recording sessions for the group’s fourth album, ELDORADO, and was replaced by KELLY GROUCUTT. Despite his departure, his work on ELO’s early albums left an indelible mark on the band.
During his time with ELO, Mike de Albuquerque was known for primarily playing Ampeg basses and Fender Bassman amplifiers. As for instruments, he was often seen with a sunburst Fender Jazz Bass and occasionally a Gibson bass. He also played piano and a white Gibson SG electric guitar.
