Desconocemos la historia que guarda esta imagen, aunque toda la impresión apunta a que alguien importante (y digo importante por aquello de que pocos son los afortunados que pueden alcanzar a obtener tan PRECIADO TESORO), recibió la dicha de que llegase a sus manos una fotografía de JEFF LYNNE autografiada de su puño y letra, por lo que parece, por correo ordinario… cuando algo de estas características debería haber sido entregado en mano por un emisario con el fin de que llegase a su destino sin demora y sin posible pérdida durante su recorrido.
Suponemos que JEFF es conocedor del valor de su firma, aunque quizás, y sólo quizás, no tiene idea de lo que supone para uno de sus fans tenerla en posesión propia o que haya sido dedicada, o tan sólo firmada frente a él. Este rasgo característico para nosotros los fans tiene un valor incalculable y en alza, y no por ello valorable prescindir de ella, puesto que, sin ser un tatuaje en nuestra piel es más que eso, es una huella dactilar en nuestra memoria, allí donde guardamos los más gratos recuerdos de nuestra existencia en esta vida y por ello imprescindible mantenerla como PRECIADO TESORO hasta el fin de nuestros días.

We don’t know the story behind this image, although everything about it suggests that someone important (and I say important because very few are fortunate enough to obtain such a TREASURED GEM) had the privilege of receiving a photograph of JEFF LYNNE, personally autographed by him—apparently sent by regular mail… when something of this nature should have been hand-delivered by a trusted emissary to ensure it reached its destination without delay or risk of being lost along the way.
We assume JEFF is aware of the value of his signature, although perhaps—just perhaps—he doesn’t fully grasp what it means for one of his fans to own it personally, or to have it dedicated, or even just signed in front of them. For us fans, this distinctive gesture holds immeasurable and ever-growing value. It’s not something one would ever part with. Though it may not be tattooed on our skin, it’s even more than that—it’s a fingerprint in our memory, in that sacred place where we keep the fondest moments of our lives. And for that reason, it must be cherished as a TREASURED GEM until the very end of our days.
