Armchair Theatre JEFF LYNNE

«That’s What It Takes» o «This Is Love» son muestra y testigo de lo que decimos.

«Free Falling», «I Won’t Back Down» o «Runnin’ Down a Dream» forman parte de este álbum.

ELOSPAIN:
The image that we show is very curious because of its particularity.
Up to six different types of seats show us JEFF LYNNE on this peculiar stage and each one of them with her particular story.
20 YEARS ago JEFF LYNNE offered an INTERVIEW and PRESS RELEASE to promote his solo album "ARMCHAIR THEATER", and he did it in this way: next to a unique, but significant group of seats, which have their own history within life of this MUSICAL GENIUS.
The first of the chairs, the one on the left, represents THE MOVE, the first repercussion group in which JEFF was an important part and where he reaffirmed himself as a renowned musician within the 60s music scene, just when these chairs in the shape of egg were all the rage.
The second is the electric chair on the cover of "FACE THE MUSIC", already by ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA, his band par excellence. JEFF LYNNE was demonstrating his creative ability to compose both music and lyrics for historical songs and albums musically speaking. Some of the songs that left their mark on this album were "Fire On High", "Evil Woman" or "Strange Magic".
The third is particularly special, since it deals withthe one associated with the production of JEFF for the GEORGE HARRISON album "CLOUD NINE". A record that was a hoarder of many awards and achieved worldwide sales and fame. "That's What It Takes" or "This Is Love" are proof and witness of what we say.
The fourth is a seesaw. It is another of JEFF LYNNE's treasures because it is the one that unites him with ROY ORBISON, with his wonderful album, also produced by JEFF, "MISTERY GIRL". Friend and partner in TRAVELING WILBURYS (as well as Harrison and Petty) he was someone special in JEFF's musical life. The jewels of this work are many, although we highlight "You Got It", "A Love So Beautiful" and "California Blue". This rocker appears in the video "END OF THE LINE" of this group as a tribute to ROY ORBISON after his death.
The fifth is associated with "FULL MOON FEVER" by TOM PETTY. Perhaps the most famous of PETTY's records, also produced by JEFF for this artist. "Free Falling", "I Won't Back Down" or "Runnin' Down"a Dream" are part of this album.
The sixth chair, where JEFF LYNNE rests, is the one that, on the dates this image was taken, represents his solo album entitled "ARMCHAIR THEATER", which he was promoting with this photo. "Every Little Thing" or "Lift Me Up" were themes that stood out from this solo work.
It will never cease to amaze us what an image can mean to those who JEFF LYNNE is, OUR MAIN ATTRACTION.
Serve this article as a TRIBUTE and CELEBRATION from ELO ESPAÑA, on the 20TH ANNIVERSARY of the record release of "ARMCHAIR THEATER", JEFF LYNNE's first solo album.
